Palm Tree Trunk

I'm not sure what this is, I think it is a root from some type of a palm plant. It is fibrous like a palm trunk. I was intrgued to see if I could make into a frame. The frame is about 15 inches on each side. The photo is an aquatic plant taken at a farm pond near Ocala, Fl. The plant's common name is a buttonbush(cephalanthus occidentalis). The photo shows the various stages of seed dispuresment.

Center opening is 8.5 inch by 9 inch .

Frame is 12 inch by 12.5 inch , 2 inches thick .

Hi,

My name is Tim Abbott , here is a sampling of the frames that I make . They can be used for mirrors, photographs, art work , nautical maps or as you choose . The frames are from various wood pieces I have found and are rustic and uniquely shaped .
If you have a piece you would like to use, send me a picture and the dimensions.

The majority of the frames are as I have found the wood and have no finish , some are varnished . I can add a wash of a specified color if desired . All frames have a rabbet cut on the back side for a mirror or clear glass and a backing piece to fit into. The dimensions and price are listed below the image . The frames are catagorized by the labels shown at the left and can be viewed by clicking that catagory or you can click on the name I have given each frame on the list displayed below the labels .

Any frame can be purchased by itself, as a mirror , with a photograph or with clear glass and a poster board backing .
